Since slaves made their own country in 1804, US military has occupied the island of Haiti, making security concerns their priority over civilian operations. There are 12,000 US troops occupying the island of Haiti today blocking real international aide to the people dying of thirst and starvation. Be careful to support grassroots, on the ground aide!
